Welcome to Little Angels Creche in Athenry

Our creche and playschool is based in Athenry, Co. Galway, and offers play-based care for children from 18 months old. Both our nursery and preschool areas are open plan, giving a welcoming and homely feel to our creche. Our qualified, caring and enthusiastic creche staff plan carefully for the individual needs of each child, to support you in giving your children the best childcare possible.

Little Angels Creche, Athenry is here to serve the local community and, by learning through play, your child will develop the skills they need to make an easy step into school.

About Us

Little Angels Childcare & Playschool is open daily from 7:45am to 12 and 1.30 - 6:00pm. We have capacity to care for 46 children at any one time .  We are open during Term time only.  Our breakfast club is fro 7.45 to 9am, our sessional care is from 9-12.  Our childcare is closed from 12 to 1.30.  We then run Afterschool for school age children from 1.30 to 6.

  • We are open 38 weeks per year.
  • We will close at Halloween, Christmas, midterm, Easter and Summer.
  • We offer the free two-year preschool session for children qualifying for the ECCE scheme.
  • We also offer a breakfast and after school club.
  • We offer All Childcare schemes
 

Our Rooms

Our Childcare & Playschool rooms are designed in such a way as to meet the developing needs of each individual child. We have:

  • 1 playroom
  • 3 playschool rooms
  • After School Club
  • Breakfast Club
  • Fenced-in outdoor play area 

Our Activities

Activities at the creche & playschool are based around a curriculum timetable. Activities are age and stage appropriate and include a combination of child-initiated, staff- initiated, collaboratively planned and spontaneous activities 

We aim to establish sensory-rich outdoor and indoor learning environments to support our curriculum.

Child Development

The programme of activities offered by the service is linked to our child development policy. The staff will ensure that children experience a range of activities that develop them:

  • Linguistically
  • Emotionally
  • Socially
